REAAAAAAAMS of crap on this page. I will fill it with all the information you never wanted/needed to know about me. Me? Who is that anyway? Sounds like the noise a horse makes if you say it high pitched enough...
1. My name is Daniel Rourke.
2. I have a young brother and sister and pretty spectacular parents.
3. Nobody in my family has a middle name.
4. I come from a town called Huddersfield in Yorkshire, Northern England.
5. Sometimes I think about what it would feel like to come from somewhere else, but not for long.
6. Uninteresting people make me angry at their parents.
7. It is due to eggs, in part, that I exist.
8. I currently live in Mashiki, Kumamoto, Japan.
9. I get paid to sit here all day and look busy.
10. When I was 16 I was arrested for shop lifting.
11. If you think something I believe you should say it.
12. I don't believe in God.
13. I don't believe in Zeus.
14. I don't believe in Santa Claus.
15. I do believe in Stevie Wonder.
16. I didn't do the shoplifting thing by the way.
17. My left hand was once broken completely backwards to the wrist by being trapped in a trampoline.
18. It really fucking hurt.
19. I love music. The last track I played was .
20. Prince is my hero.
21. My hero used to be Einstein, and although his life's work makes my pulse race and better understand the infinite complexities of the universe I'll never be able to funk out to it, grind my pelvis to it or feel dirty because of it.
22. Writing is my dream.
23. I don't believe this list counts as writing, and this website happens to be the only thing I could compare to anything remotely resembling something nearly similar to writing for a long time. So there.
24. When I was about 6 years old I started saving up 1 and 2 pence coins for a trip to America.
25. On my 18th birthday I spent the money on crack whores and vaseline.
26. The last statement was a lie.
27. I was on anti-depressants for 4 months when I was 21.
28. During that time getting drunk was really easy and therefore cheap.
29. I wish reincarnation was possible so I could come back as Captain Beefheart.
30. I have a degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds, West Yorkshire.
31. I hope that if mankind become extinct the idea of God dies with us.
32. Sometimes I think Hitler's actions were a modern interpretation of Plato's ideal society as outlined in The Republic.
33. I worry because I actually like some of Plato's ideas.
34. I don't believe in monogamy anymore, although I still adhere to it.
35. I often wonder if that is a hypocritical stance.
36. I once had a dream that Eric Clapton was my Dad.
37. When I woke up I was very relieved to realise that he wasn't.
38. The Japanese don't eat baked beans.
39. I can use chopsticks, I do eat raw fish and yes, I do know what Odon Noodles are.
40. Japanese small-talk is often some of the smallest talk I have ever come across.
41. The books which have most touched me are The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams.
42. I cried when Douglas Adams died.
43. The movie I have seen the most often is probably Willy Wonka.
44. I wish reincarnation was possible so that in a previous life I could have been an Oompa Loompa.
45. I believe the universe is a self realising system born out of an infinite chain of natural evolution which will eventually produce a fully, self reflexive reality capable of consciously reversing the entropy of the universe.
46. I read a lot of popular science and science fiction books.
47. Part of me hopes that the next great collapse of civilisation happens in my lifetime so I can be around to see it.
48. Writing this list has brought me 51 places closer to finding out how very big infinity actually is.
49. I keep writing The Huge Entity in the hope that people enjoy sharing their opinions on a Huge variety of topics.

Materialism stresses the essence of fundamental particles. Everything that exists is purely physical matter and there is no special force that holds life together.
